Orchard Press is a B1 printer.

The business started with a 2 colour press but by 2005 we had purchased a larger purpose-built factory in Tewkesbury,
which is where we are today. We took on more staff and have continued to invest in new technologies to
stay ahead of the competition and ensure we provide a first class service and quality of print.

In the last 5 years we’ve moved up from B2 to B1 printers and now run a 10 colour Heidelberg XL 106. It’s fast.
It can print such high volumes that we invested in a new ImageSetter to keep up with the speed of the press.

And the installation of the latest Suprasetter will see our plate output almost double from 18 to 35 plates an hour.
Only 10 years ago it would have taken all day for anyone to produce this amount! This now means we get virtually no
plate wastage and have better control over our quality. All part of our sustainability drive- and it also ensures that
High Definition is now a hallmark of every job we produce.

Sitting behind this service is total print management, FOGRA 39 Proofing system, B1 10 colour perfecting printing,
on page print resolution of 250 dpi on every coated paper job as standard, plus saddle stitch or perfect -bound finishes.

With 20 staff at our Tewkesbury factory, being voted Family Business of the Year in the Gloucestershire Business Awards
in 2014, and have just launched our new Orchard Rainbow service, M. D  Adrian Williams who now runs the business
day-to-day says
